53RD MOSE WOODSON CLASSIC RESULTS

The Denton Junior Optimist Judo Club will be hosting the 53rd Annual Mose Woodson Classic Judo Tournament on Saturday, April 10th, 2010.

The event will take place at the Ken Bahnsen Gym on the campus of the University of North Texas, located in Denton, TX.

This is an All Star Event as well as the Brown Belt State Championship.

The Denton Junior Optimist Club had six members compete at the Sooner State Games in Oklahoma City this past weekend. All won medals.

There have been several inquiries regarding whether or not the situation regarding the H1N1 Swine-origin flu virus being found in North Texas will affect the Mose Woodson tournament this coming Saturday.

As of this writing, 2:00 PM, Thursday April 30th, there are no plans to cancel the tournament.  There are several people still confirmed as coming, and we plan to hold the event as previously planned.

Since the situation regarding the flu virus is an evolving one, there always exists the possibility that circumstances outside of our control will arise.  If anything comes up that will affect the planned tournament this Saturday, updates will be posted here as soon as we have them.

The date for the Mose Woodson Classic Judo tournament has been finalized.  It will be Saturday, May 2, in the Ken Bahnsen Gymn at the University of North Texas.
